ACN a Scam Or a Great Opportunity

ACN, Inc. was founded back in 1993 by Greg Provenzano, Mike Cupisz, Tony Cupisz and Robert Stevanovski. They had all been in the network marketing industry for a while when they decided to start their own company in an attempt to give the distributors the best possible opportunity. ACN, Inc. has grown consistently since the beginning and is today offering a wide range of products, and ACN, Inc., is the world’s largest direct selling telecommunications company.

ACN, Inc. is offering a broad range of telecommunications services, including wireline, wireless and VoIP products, in 19 countries in North America, Europe, and the Asia-Pacific region. The flagship product ACN, Inc. offers is the video phone. ACN, Inc. is one of the leading VoIP and video telephony companies in the world today.

Besides the impressive growth and the breaking technology they provide, another of ACN, Inc. great achievements is that they have gotten Donald Trump to publicly endorse them as a great business opportunity.

Whether or not ACN is offering a great business opportunity, it is clear that Donald Trump has no intention of starting an ACN business. It takes work, hard consistent work to grow an ACN business and to get to the top of the compensation plan (to make RVP or SVP). It requires considerably more work than just finding 3 people and help them find 3 people… ect.
ACN offers services that most people are already using, so in theory it should be fairly easy to get some customers and even representatives with the public endorsement by the multi millionaire real estate guru; Donald Trump.

Everyone might have a local, long distance or a wireless phone service, or watch TV and they could become your customer and you would not be selling anything since they already spend the money for the service elsewhere.

ACN teach their distributors to work their warm market, friends and family. When a new distributor approaches a friend about this opportunity to make a ton of money with the new video phone and the industry is changing, the distributor is trying to express the great opportunity it is to get involved right now, since you can make a lot of money from this change. If the distributor is not making money with his ACN business there is a credibility issue.

Growing an ACN business can be a great opportunity, but if one knows nothing about how to market effectively and how to target your market it will probably be a frustrating journey you will take on in your attempt to grow your ACN business.

ACN is not a scam, but it’s definitely not a stock option or a lottery ticket. If you get involved with ACN and do not have a clue about how to market effectively and especially don’t know how to utilize the phone, the internet and the written word for your marketing advantage, it’s going to be a struggle and might not feel like a great opportunity and it might even feel like it’s a scam.

ACN Scam Alert?

From up front ACN seem like a respectable telecommunications company. Their services include long distance calls, digital phone services, local phone calls and the internet. Their products though a bit behind latest technology seem fairly of acceptable standard but when you look further; you can’t help but ask questions.

Do a search on the internet and you will find a lot of people asking the same questions about the ACN scam. But is the ACN marketing company truly a scam? Despite great achievements their reputation has been tarnished. Read the following. One thing that stand in disfavor of their credibility is that their company structure is framed based on the multi level marketing model or the pyramid structure. That in itself raises a lot of questions. Experienced network marketers will tell you that it is difficult if not totally impossible to find a pyramid program that is not scam.

As an ACN representative you are advised not to use cold calling or selling methods but to try to recruit your family and friends. To become a sales representative you would need to part with about $400 to get your marketing kit. Apart from this you are required to pay $149 as renewal fees every year plus a $10 a month monthly fee. Funny enough you are not told of these extra fees before you sign up. As if that was not enough you will have to bear the cost of paying for bills that people you signed up refuse or failed to pay.

Just like the regular “pyramid schemes” that people talk about the few people at the top make the money and the people at the bottom do all the work and get little compensation. This basically happens from lack of knowing how to market. More about that later.

To serve as further proof, the Australian Federal Court outlawed the activities of ACN as a scam when it found it to be in violation of established trade practices Act of 1974. No wonder there a lot of unhappy comments about the ACN scam all over the internet with many saying the $400 signup fee was wasted. If you are considering being a part of ACN you may want to investigate online first.

ACN has been around for a while but it seems that as the years went by their activities became more
shrouded in mystery and the structure became more exploitative. My personal belief is that no matter what ACN has been through in the news, they are not a scam. Do your own research to see if it is the right company for you.

To succeed at this program however you would need the right skills and system.
ACN as well as other network marketing companies still use outdated methods of marketing. That is one reason why so many people have a bad taste in their mouth about MLM. They may have worked back in the day but just aren’t that effective now. There are countless numbers of systems out there that people claim work.

This is what you want to look for in a system: self branding, customizable, duplicatable, great content, free and paid marketing strategies, and a test trial. It should teach you how to target people who already are interested in what you have to offer. You do not look for them but you attract them and they seek you out. "ACN Leadership Exposed!" – 3 Prospecting Secrets ACN Leaders Didn’t Want Me to Tell You

There’s nothing sinister about it.

Only people limited in their context have a problem with the “controversial” advice I’m giving in these ACN secrets. They tried to ban me from sharing this stuff. The trouble is that this information should be in your corporate training.

Here are 3 of the strategies ACN leaders like George Zalucki, Art Napolitano, Brian Sax, and Andrea Sax know that helped them build downlines of 1,000’s of active members:

1. Be Very, Very Unique

Being different gets attention.

You’re just another annoying pyramid scam when you say, “ACN isn’t like other MLMs we only make money when you do.” or “Our company founders brought together the best of all Network Marketing comp plans when they created the ACN comp plan.”

That’s not unique. Reps from every Home Business or Direct Selling organisation say the same boring stuff to me all the time!

Leaders like Art Napolitano and Matt Rasmussen are most known amongst ACN reps for TRAINING. I was recently speaking to a lady who quit ACN for the “grace period” so she could rejoin under one of the better known ACN trainers.

Develop or promote a unique skill you have. Like your ability to generate leads online with MySpace or Facebook. Or your hypnotherapy technique to help ACN reps overcome their fear of picking up the phone. You can use skills that you already have or begin to learn new ones.

2. Don’t Sell to Everyone

Don’t launch your presentation at EVERYONE like a dog licking strangers!

Describe your ideal prospect carefully and specifically. What kind of problem are they trying to solve? What job/business background do they have?

Once you know the problem that really frustrates your prospect, position yourself as the person who has those solutions. For example, my ideal prospect is someone who has owned a business in the past or owns one right now. My prospect is frustrated because he/she can’t find customers easily and really wants to find out how to create more customers.

Great. Now where are they looking for solutions?

They’re buying books and cds on marketing and attending marketing seminars. Now I know where my prospect hides and what I can offer as a solution to bring him/her out of hiding.

3. Stop Contradicting Yourself

Have you heard the rep who claims that his business is “easy” and yet he chase his prospect to the point that it’s embarrassing?

It’s obviously not easy if he’s doing all this tiring and embarrassing chasing!

Instead of wasting your time chasing a quick buck from someone who is unqualified, go invest in learning a skill that will truly benefit other people. Having an opportunity to pitch is NOT a valuable exchange for money.

On the other hand, being able to help someone build a successful ACN business to solve their money problem is valuable.
